Christian Vind shows explosively multifaceted works at Gallery Tom Christoffersen. His solo exhibition THE PRESSURE VESSEL is comprehensive and presents photography, collage, painting, drawing, paper works and book projects.

Vind comes up with ideas like scanning a photographed photography, diving into art history, carefully colour notebooks by hand and collect both pebbles at the beach and door-to-door distributed advertising folders. The found is all registered and becomes potent material in the archive which Vind continuously activates as he investigates the world. This experimental comprehensiveness is present at THE PRESSURE VESSEL and the exhibition is through Vind’s knowledge and precision both organised and tremendous.

To compress the accumulated is an approach which Vind has used earlier in artists books like Bøf er stegt (2005) and Hvidpapirfeber [Whitepaperfever] (2004). Through pungent humour the books contain ambiguous political and social references, while art history and a stream of images are tested.

Hermetic, intellectual, and full of art historical references – playful and tongue-in-cheek are statements which fit Christian Vind’s paintings and paper works equally.
