With "Set" we wish to explore how figurative painting concerns itself with the formation of space - space as a matter of constructing three dimensions on the canvas, but also constructing space as a psychological entity in painting.
With a series of new large-scale works, three generations of Danish painters - Anette Harboe Flensburg, Ivan Andersen and Allan Otte - show their differences and similarities in the exploration of painterly space.
Between Anette Harboe Flensburg’s colourful examinations of the existential drama latent in the physical and emtional spaces of the world, Ivan Andersen’s paranoic and subversive humorist canvases and Allan Otte’s bleak depictions of suburbia on the verge of digital breakdown, Gallery Tom Christoffersen is pleased to present "Set".
