Galleri Tom Christoffersen presents the exhibition INTO CONCRETE with works by Franciska Clausen (1899-1986), Ib Geertsen (1919), Torben Ribe (1978) and Christian Vind (1969).
No new works will be shown at the exhibition and one of the artists is deceased. Tradition and timely distance is therefore at the centre of INTO CONCRETE as works from the 20th century are juxtaposed with reflexive pieces from the 21st.
The few works shown are a selection of works on paper from 1925-31 by Franciska Clausen, concrete painting from 1950-58 by Ib Geertsen and works by Torben Ribe and Christian Vind; two contemporary artists which explicitly relates to 20th century avant-garde.
During this exclusive meeting between the two important Danish modernists and the two very knowing rebels from the contemporary Danish art scene, the balance between the line, the colour and the plane might be challenged.
