Galleri Tom Christoffersen presents Jesper Fabricius solo exhibition CONTEMPORARY DANISH ART.

A grey apocalyptic model landscape and a frieze of cut out portraits from 1970ties pornographic magazines are among the works on view at the exhibition.

The model landscape takes up the gallery space. This sad no mans land of abandoned architectural structures does not carry the melancholic air often related to dark future fictions. Instead the installation dryly carries the text: OUR IDEAS AND DESIRES, which bridges the frieze of portraits. The frieze is conducted with Jesper Fabricius humour, which critically displaces the focus from the actual act to the utopian ideas of the 1970ties.

Seriousness and subtle humour plus the use of elements from architecture and pornography have characterised Jesper Fabricius versatile production through the years. Therefore CONTEMPORARY DANISH ART stands as a small, sharp and brief marker of the artist’s birthday, which Galleri Tom Christoffersen is proud to be part of on the day of the opening.

On the same day Jesper Fabricius opens another solo exhibition at Fotografisk Center (Copenhagen), which presents a part of the artists photographic production.
